bug or intended for some reason, or perhaps he misconfigured something in
the new release and was trying to find out.

It seems that /etc/sysconfig/dhcpd has disappeared.
service dhcpd restart yeilds the following results...
[root@gw /root]# service dhcpd restart
/etc/init.d/dhcpd: /etc/sysconfig/dhcpd: No such file or dir

Have you looked at the NIS HOW-TO for SME?
I can't comment on how well NIS works with SME, but I have used it
with a couple of other distros and it solves the centralized
authentication issue. IMHO, it is the best solution today for an all
Linux network (Linux servers and desktops).

problem.
We had tried to install the tftp-server-0.17-5.i386.rpm from
the RedHat 7.0 CD, however it appears that it's broken,
as installing tftp-server-0.17-9.i386.rpm worked fine.
