I have a copy of that RPM but I gotta know... will it work on SME 5.1? I'd

Cheers!

Basically the rpm loads two kernel modules and patches

I'm not using the newest version (started to customize and now it's hard
to upgrade), but it says it supports file uploads both to disk and to
the database. The older version (.16) that I have works very well for
file uploads. I also really like the email notification.

IIRC, keystone is/was not free.

Mantis has much nicer support for attachments, and such. I use mantis
in-house along with keystone, which although not actively developed, has
some nice features.
The mantis config on SME is a snap as well...

Hi ,
RPMS for both Python and Zope on SME 5.1.2 are available
for download at http://www.opencare.nl/publicfiles/sme5.1.2/
Installation has been tested on my development box;
the RPMS are not aimed at use in/on production-servers

Yes I took a look however there were too many things I did not like.

Strike two: it is a compiled

I like PHP HelpDesk. Simple and functional. Easy to customize.

Not necessary - just drop it into an Ibay.

I think I' might have brought this up here before, but I've been using
Mantis (http://mantisbt.sourceforge.net/)for a while. It's more of a bug
tracker/reporter than it is a help desk system, but fits the bill as a
trouble ticket system. Mantis is PHP and Mysql based and installs "easy

I use a straight logging system (as I replied to you off-list.

I have used this for project tracking as well as trouble tickets.
It is highly configurable, and has some security built in as well.
It can also be set to auto-send an e-mail if an entry meets certain

To test my H323 gatekeeper, I needed to bring up the second ethernet card on
my test box. Unfortunately, it is a Winbond-840 based card (a trendnet
TE100-S4PCI), which is not supported by the 2.2.19 kernel with SME 5.1.2.
Trendnet only supplies a 2.2.16 driver (based on Donald Becker's code).
