Has anyone done packet shaping on e-smith or SME?
We are a little worried about large mail packets taking out the systems
bandwidth
and causing other services to time out?

I've added the 'pam password change' parameter into my build of the
e-smith-samba rpms. Different builds for 5.1.2 and 5.5 available here:
http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/samba-2.2.5-4/
Source in SRPMS. Follow the Howto to update to samba 2.2.5-4.

I'm getting ready to do put up a wireless link in the house for my
laptop, and think that my Linux box would make a good Access Point, I
read about turning a BSD machine into an AP. It seems to me that you
would have a lot more control, be able to use Iptables to secure things
a bit bett
