Stu, I had a similar feeling after trying Flash Catalyst. I attempted
to build a prototype with it and quit pretty early in the process,
hanging my head in frustration. I couldn't seem to get it to do
anything. (Granted my ActionScript skills are limited at best.) For
the past couple of weeks I
I just tried out Adobe's Flash Catalyst. I know it's in Beta, but I
find it really unusable. They need to simplify it a whole lot more.
Does anyone else take the same view?

Where I work we have no real need for iRise. We do WPF, XAML,
Flash/Javascript/HTML projects. We prefer prototyping tools that are
in the actual environment whenever possible so we can take advantage
of capabilities and collaraborate better with developers.

At OneSpring we use iRise for rapid UX prototyping all the time. It

Apparently, Adobe%u2019s working on a new prototyping tool. Has
anyone else heard this rumour?

Welcome to the Interacti
I've been using Axure (http://www.axure.com) a lot lately. I have
done some testing iRise. It is slick, it has lots of features...and
it's stupidly expensive. I also think it's a tool directed at
socalled business analysts who work in environments where there are
no IxDs or dedicated UX staff, so t
I want an opinion about iRise:
By watching their videos I got an impression that is too back-end
focussed. No much room for a 'rapid' UX mind-set. For that I tend to
stand for Axure. Light and fast prototypes with documentation. I have
no experience with iRise and depending on complexity it might
