We are looking for several full-time Django and Python programmers that will work out of our Buenos Aires, Argentina office. We are willing to train excellent programmers that do not yet have Django or python skills if they can demonstrate proficiency in other object- oriented languages like Ruby, Java, or C++.
We will consider candidates in other Argentina cities provided they are willing to come to Buenos Aires at least twice a month for two or three days. One of these programmers will be paid to work full-time on Django itself and we are therefore only looking for candidates that have the aspiration, group programming skills, and programming expertise to warrant eventual inclusion into the Django team. We don't want to pay anyone who won't be able to earn a place on the team. The other programmers will be working on a project which will eventually be an open-source content and community site framework which will extend Django. We hope to make this something that does not ever require a fork of Django which is why we are going to provide one programmer as a full-time resource for Django itself to make sure that if we need a feature someone can discuss it on django-developers, get an approved design, build patch to Django, write tests, and supply documentation patches so that it will become a part of the django trunk. We are looking to build one of the best software teams in the world so if you know some excellent programmers let them know about this position even if they do not yet know Django or Python. We would rather train excellent programmers in new technologies than try to build excellence from mediocrity. In addition to Django, some projects will include commercial software written in C++/Python and PyQt. All candidates should have a decent knowledge of English but perfect grammar is not expected or required. Please respond directly to me and not the list. - Curtis --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
