I had that fuse go up in my TR3 back in the 80s. I never found a cause. I
replaced it, and it ran fine until I sold it several years back.

Hi All: Looking for some help on a problem with the PTO dial mechanism of a
nice R-4C
ay when 105-110
volts were normal in the US, vs the 120-125 volts common today. The idea in
this case is to "buck" the input voltage to a lower value.
Good luck, and let us know what you decide and what your results are.

beautifully.
So I am now $50 poorer and none the wiser. I am sure someone has purchased a
new crystal out there that has the load cap spec for this particular circuit.

The AC4 has been rebuilt by previous owner.
I have owned this radio for 4 years (or maybe 3).

Guys the other week someone ask about all band TX for the TR7. Found this
method in my notes on the TR7. There is another mod which cuts PCB traces
which I think also disables the PLL out of lock TX inhibit. I think this
method saves that function.
To enable the TR7 to transmit on all freque
Mine came butchered. I didn't care, it was so scratched that I just pained it
black to closer match the Drakes I use it with. I had to figure out what had
been done with it. I never run 160, but never took the mods off either.

There is a rather straight forward mod for the Johnsons to allow them to cover

classic tuner unit, but if you can stand doing that.

What is the load capacitance for this crystal in the VCXO application?

d the good
fortune to speak with one of the guys who helped engineered the PS-7. He
indicated people have misunderstanding about the PS-7 fan. Its purpose is to
cool the filter caps, not the electronics.
