Hi,
I have been following the information on the FS4 clone on the
'drakelist' for a week now and I see so much negative remarks.
I agree with you 100% on what you said about leaving the negative
stuff off and cheering the guy on who is trying to create and advance the
product of an accessory item for the Drake line. Hams like him should be
praised for an inovative idea and initiative to try to enhance the Drake.
Some of us came to ham radio late and missed out on the Drake products and with
the cost on eBay of FS4 being astronomical, I applaud this guy for trying to
make an accessory affordable to hams like me who enjoy Drake radios. I thought
this was what ham radio was all about but I guess I am old fashioned and from
the 'old school'. In this day of computers taking over everything and the young
people liking all the 'latest' technology, they are not interested in the older
radios. They are not being told about the beginnings of their latest fad may
have bagan when some youngster had a idea and followed thru with it. What a
shame.
