I'm de-duping this because the X server *should* be choosing Gallium 0.4
on SVGA3D, which it does on older xorg-server versions in Trusty. A
recent update broke this. Targetting xorg-server and I will update it
with some version numbers.

I am having issues with Radeon HD 6450, with both proprietary and open
source drivers. I don't have issues on Ubuntu 12.04, but everything
after that yes. Tried both Ubuntu 13.10 and 14.04. I switched to my
integrated Intel HD 2000, and didn't have issues.

Adding some more details: I restarted unity in a terminal with "setsid unity&".
When I go to the applications lens, the search icon spins for about 10 or 15
seconds and displays only dash plugins. In the terminal I get:

I see this too all the time. A quick fix, which doesn't require logging
out, is to just kill -HUP the indicator-datetime-service process.

Public bug reported:
When running fullscreen application with wine which requires a
resolution change, the resolution change happens but the Unity stuff
still appears on screen and can be interacted with.
More than that, it appears that somehow I get a big window that is
"zoomed in" on the game.
This kernel update didn't fix the issue for me.
The shortcuts overlay still doesn't appear in my laptop (1336x768 resolution).
