Compiz and unity are linked since they install files into /usr/share
/gnome-control-center/keybindings/. We read from /usr/share/unity-
control-center/keybindings/. Other packages that install here are
metacity and gnome-shell but not sure if that matters.
We need to get them to install keybinding

I'm not sure this is helpful or not but:
I don't have Unity installed. I'm running Linux Mint which is built from
Ubuntu and I'm running KDE. Whether that rules out a unity bug or not I
don't know.
Setting UBUNTU_MENUPROXY has no effect at all.
Using GTK2_RC_FILES=/usr/share/themes/Raleigh/gtk-2
The GTK2_RC_FILES theme workaround doesn't help me, nor does
UBUNTU_MENUPROXY.

After I started my laptop today the indicator wasn't shown. I guess this

So I patched pm-suspend to exit 0, and that would not trigger the bug

after some seconds of inactivity. So the shim log looks fine, and indeed
the PrepareForSleep False is missing, as with other people. At this
point this requires an in-depth debugging of systemd-logind, to see why
it sometimes f

This was captured with the given systemd-shim debug capture rune; I
didn't have to ^C systemd-shim on resume as it exited by itself with 0
(see bottom of log).

I have installed Ubuntu 13.10 in VMware_Player and the effect of missing
window decoration is no more present. Under VirtualBox is this effect
still present.
