I'm affected by this. System settings > Time & Date > Clock options are
available and seem to function normally. I've tried the following
solutions; none have restored my clock to the unity panel.
1)
sudo apt-get install --reinstall indicator-datetime;
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -f noninteractive tzd
Problem stays reproducable with compiz-standalone. Seems to freeze while
running draw-heavy tasks such as videos, games or graphic-editing.
Problem stays reproduceable under Ubuntu 14.04 as well as on Archlinux
with the same setup (both rund proprietary NVIDIA drivers). Might have
something to do
Running latests image this seems fixed (yay). I now see avatars for my
twitter friends in the notification center.

Note that there was another bug where changes in CCSM weren't saved
across sessions. This seems to be the one setting (that I know of) that
wasn't fixed when the fix for that bug went out.

CCSM is NOT a fix for this because the setting is not saved across
sessions. It shows as saved in CCSM but it actually isn't; every time I
restart I have to go into CCSM, unbind it and then rebind it again if I
want to be able to use Alt+Grave for something other than window
switching.

This also affects me, running 14.04 upgraded from 13.
If I open "trash:///" in Nautilus and keep it open in a separate window, the
trash icon on the launcher works. However, the moment I close "trash:///" in
Nautilus, the launcher's trash icon stop working.

This also affects me on a ThinkPad T430s. Definitely a big security
