Thanks for answer. Yes the scaling was the problem. I adjusted it many days ago,. So I don't remember where. Now both displays are fine. But the thing is, the basic setting in Ubuntu 14.04 is that it's too small and I had to adjust it first. Now it is: $ gsettings get com.ubuntu.user-interface s
