Not sure if this can be considered a solution but I solved this problem too by
installing 'xserver-xorg'.

It had not experienced this bug for a while in Unity, but it is

I haven't been able to grasp a pattern as to when the Clementine
indicator disappears, for it can be any time in the middle of a song,
with no obvious relationship with a specific process.

(Ubuntu 13.10) If I alt+tab or click in another application in unity
panel, the chosen application window goes to the top for a few
milliseconds and then Firefox window becomes focused again. After
switching to the application from 3 to 4 times, its focus is not stolen

Another workaround: Simply change it to CTRL+Space. For some reason, the
Shift+Super+Space combination didn't work for me.
