Public bug reported:

After the latest updates (the end of October 2013) Unity starts with corrupted
display.
A lot of artifacts I mean. Nearly everything on the screen is broken.
But If you logout and login again (sometimes this operation must be repeated up
to 4 times)
everything runs fine.
This phenomenon does not depend on videochip type (I tried Radeon & Geforce
with the same result)
and driver.
I tried to login in Cinnamod desktop instead of Unity.
Cinnamon works fine.

** Affects: unity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
