That is correct. I believe that NAMAS ONLY deals with laboratory and Calibration procedures. At one company I worked our lab manager paid them lots of money to validate and audit our product safety procedures (We were all CSA Design Verification Engineers; TUV and UL accepted our test reports).

Hello Group: The explanation that I have been given goes as follows. When a UL inspector goes in to inspect a wire manufacturer they have to do certain measurements on the wire to be sure it meets the requirements for that wire style. If it does not meet the requirements it is not accepted as UL
