Is there any way of having a roaming outlook profile that follows a user,
but without actually having a roaming w2k profile?
Thanks.

I have an upgraded 5.5 server now on E2K sp2 which responds with FTP type
browsing when accessing the OWA.
I'm not getting any errors. I had to follow a few Q's as the exchfilt.dll
did not swap to the new version on upgrade, not sure if this is related.
Also the /exadmin virtual was missing. I
Yes, I followed a few Q's, it wanted me to change the LDAP ports on my
existing 5.5 servers.
I changed them to 379. It let me create the SRS. Replication has started
and some tanked up mail has now been delivered from 5.5 to 2000. The E2K
servers are now showing up in the 5.5 Admin tools on th
Yes, sounds like it. It assumed a new site and did not ask me. If I try
and create a new SRS, it only lists my 5.5 servers. When I choose a 5.5
server and authenticate it says the server is not available.
How do I get my Config_CA back post 2000 installation? It does not matter
if I must re-
Yes, first time. I ended up having to un-install exchange 2000, then
re-install at a later date. It did not ask me a second time when I
re-installed, not that I undid the forest prep & domain prep, I just
un-installed E2K.
It only asked me at forest prep time originally.

I suppose a tell tale problem is that if I go into my 5.5 administrator
progs on a 5.5 server, expand the servers tree, the 2 newly added E2K
servers are not listed.
What went wrong?

Ok, the Config_CA is not there anymore, just my connection agreements, AD is
replicating ok. Can send messages between Ex2k servers in site, but not to
5.5 servers in site. The GAL is populated with my 5.5 & AD info but mail
not passing between 5.5 & E2K in the same site.

When installing into a 5.5 site, should the ADC show an automatically
generated config connection from the install?
Many Thanks

I upgraded NT to 2000, the DCpromo ran shortly after. It ran ok, and the

I've got a PDC (Its the only server in the domain), Its got Exchange 5.5 on
it.
I'm doing the following;
Upgrading it to 2000 ADV Server, create a new AD forest and leave it in
mixed mode.
Works fine, Exchange 5.5 happy, whole server happy.
I run Exchange 2000 setup, run the ADC thingy - Fine.
Whilst half way through an upgrade to 2000, I get the following error, which
only gives a Retry or Cancel option.
"Set-up failed while installing subcomponent MS SchedulePlus Free/Busy
connector with
error code 0x80072030"
Has anyone seen this before or got a fix for it?

I'm trying to upgrade my 5.5 site to 2000, but get an error.
The server was a PDC NT4 and was the only server in this Domain.
The server was upgraded to Windows 2K ADV and Active Directory. (Mixed Mode)
All went ok.
The 5.5 SP4, single site/server Exchange installation on it, also functions
