What I have done is rather than using 802.1x authentication, I use MAC
authentication. This way all I have to do is ensure the mac of the radio
cards is in the users table. When the card comes into range of an access
point, the AP sends the mac as if it were a user name. If the mac checks
out, then
I am trying to get the accounting records to go into the mysql database.
They are going into the flat files just fine, but I need the database in
order to do suplicate logon elimination.
My version is 0.92
If anyone can help with this, it would be appreciated. Thanks

I would think this would be no problem. You can define what port the radius
process listens on
and you can set up different authentication data sources based upon the
realms. Or you could just
recompile another instance of freeradius with different values and set it up
to path to a different
config
In my office on Vernon St. The firewall won't support the VPN session to
CDS. It has older software in it. I will be upgrading the firewall Friday
night, but for now I have to go back home to do anything that requires a
VPN session to CDS

Laurent, thank you. This was the clue I needed to solve the problem.
I am not sure what language you normally use, but I am sure that your
use of English is better than my use of your language would be.

I have the include in my radiusd.conf file
$INCLUDE ${confdir}/sql.conf
The startup shows radius including the file.
No errors result during load or authentication processing
and there is no attempt to check the database. No queries are
logged. The rlm_sql_mysql files are in the library path
