gEDA-user: component at an angle

Hello, In gschem, how do I place a component at an angle? I can make connection wires at angles other than 0 or 90 deg., but could not do so for components. I wanted a resistor at 45 deg angle instead of verticle or horizontal position. thanks, ->HS ___

Are you logged in and running the installer as root? If so, log out, and log in as a normal user. The installer doesn't like to be run as root. If that's not the problem, I can't really help. I've heard of this problem, but haven't experienced it personally. Therefore, I have not been able to

One thing you can do is create a directory under /media called "cdrom" (that is, create /media/cdrom), and then manually mount the CD there. Then run the installer. This issue has to do with the way Linux/Fedora is handling mounting of CD ROM devices. You may want to Google around and read some t

The document on teh web is a little old, and newer distros work differently than they used to. Here's what I recommend: 1. Put the CD in. The computer will automount it. 2. unmount it manually (from the command line). You may need to do this as root. 3. mount the CD again, like this: moun
