I think this example is human guided, to show the push/shove feature.

I just searched a little bit, and I found some code from Josh Jordan
on the mailing list:

What I would like to have is a more intelligent method of inserting
new tracks. So if I wanted to insert a new track between two existing
tracks, these two should get pushed a little bit to make space for the
track inbetween. Sounds a little bit related to your idea of "Sprung
loaded tracking".

Hi, I'm doing a layout using the toporouter of pcb. It really gives
very nice results, but it takes really very long to run (about an
hour).
Is this "normal"? If I look at the run times on Anthony Blake's page
(http://anthonix.resnet.scms.waikato.ac.nz/toporouter/), they are in
the magnitude of sec
I just read this, and had to think on the UI discussion going on here:

We should also think on the smaller applications beside PCB and gschem.
Im sure everyone here could name some programmes
Here are the xpm files. Pick out what you think is the best. The only
differences are the colors of the arrow. My favourite is Place3.

No, I disagree to this. Only one example: A well known layout/schematic editor

I made another try with the IC. Now it's only something like SO8 instead of

Hi Steve,
you can use the command MoveObject(X,Y,dim) to move the object under the cursor.
Place the cursor over the object you want to move, type ":" (without the
quotes), and then the command. for dim you either select mil or mm, or nothing
(then its 1/100 mil).
You can read the whole documentati

anybody here got "ready to use" ebuilds for the named tools (or for the whole

Hi all,
the zoom function in gschem is still a little bit confusing. If it would be
like in pcb it would look much smoother. In pcb the spot under the mouse is
zoomed in, but neither mouse nor layout change their position. In gschem
however the spot under the mouse is centered, and then zoomed i

Hi, it would be nice to have a preview for the footprints in the attribute
window of gschem or in gattrib. At the moment I switch everytime between pcb
and gschem to find the right footprint for the component. For often used
components you know the best footprint after some time, but for less us

Ah, nice program. It is not exactly what I've wanted, but its a huge
improvement compared to a simple texteditor. For those who want to use it, I

Hi, I'm searching for a graphical editor for antennas that produces input files
for NEC (for those that don't know NEC:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerical_Electromagnetics_Code).
So it doesn't have to be a special antenna construction program, it just has to
put out files in NEC format.
