Hello everyone:
Here's a question for the MythTV experts in the group.
Here's the background - I had a Hauppage TV card (which I used for video
capture) running fine under Mandrake 10. Then the system's motherboard
died, taking the Hauppage card with it. I recreated the system on a new

diodes connected in opposite directions. These stimulate a
phototranistor output. I was using them mainly to see if an 24 VAC

Hello everyone:
I've been checking my board layout with the Design Rule Checker command
in PCB. I was encountering some mysterious behavior and wondering if
anybody could explain this a little.

is exactly 10 mils. This is a

Hello all:
I finally figured out how to stretch and move lines by doing a
":Select(Connection)" command. (For some reason, it's almost impossible
for me to grab it with just a click.) This is probably what you guys
meant when you said a person could click and drag the ends of lines.

Hello everyone:
Sorry, but I'm having a little trouble figuring this one out.
My circuit diagram is on two sheets. I need to connect a small number
of signals between them. I found the symbols input-1 and output-1 which
looked just like the ones that people use for this purpose. I added
them to

Hi,
Lately I've been creating a lot of footprints for SMD devices. One of
these devices was a chip resistor. I always try to follow the
manufacturer's recommended pad layouts as closely as possible. This is
the problem: the diagram shows that both of the two pads should have a
small notch in the

Hello everyone:
This time I have a very specific question. I am trying to create a
footprint for an SMT device (it's an SDIP, which doesn't appear to be in
the library.) The manufacturer spec gave me the exact dimensions for
the pads, which I created using the rectangle tool. After creating the

Hello all,
I'm new to gEDA; I've been playing with it for a few weeks now, mostly
gschem and pcb. Whereas the gschem interface seems reasonably standard,
pcb is often maddeningly arcane. I understand that this program has
evolved over many years, so perhaps that explains it. I've been trying
