Hi Writing own apps using Javascript and Openlayers is not the easiest way to go, but surely worth of an effort. I was not familiar with Javascript at all, when I began. I had mostly programmed with Visual Basic. However I started from the ground looking at other's code and Openlayers example

Thanks Stefano for replying . Actually, I tested by using this time a wms vector layer as a basemap , and defining the appopriate parameters (center..). The wms overlay layer displays on this basemap perfectly (No pink tiles). I did post on the other mailing-lists. At this point I'd like to defi
