Hi,

We're not having (and never had) any luck getting the image mosaic to work with
JPEG coverages.

We have 16GB of JPEG files (2400) with corresponding jgw extents and the prj
file. We have successfully created the store and the layer. However when we
view the layer it shows as black tiles (those a few tiles here and there have
shown).

The errors in the log we are getting are as follows:

2012-02-20 13:31:57,886 ERROR [gce.imagemosaic] - Unable to load the raster for
granuleDescriptor 0
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException:
imageIndex out of bounds!

Does anyone know how to solve this? I've seen some talk in the JAI forums that
progressive JPEGs have issues but I'm quite sure our files are baseline JPEGs.

Any ideas would be much appreciated before we convert the lot into 256bit tiffs.

We are using:
GeoServer 2.1.3
JAI Native (I've tried switching this off in the JAI settings with no luck)
CentOS 5

Cheers,
Chris
