Just as I feared: option (2) causes a GeoServer request with srsName=http://www.opengis.net/def/crs/EPSG/0/4326 to return a response with srsname="http://www.opengis.net/gml/srs/epsg.xml#4326"; and longitude/latitude order. The underlying cause (I think) is that HTTP_AuthorityFactory is config
