I have heard not to use freezing spray on blocks/sections that are destined for IHC but I never heard the reasoning behind this warning. I've always steered clear of it when cutting for IHC and instead will bury my block in the frost of our freezer until its good and cold. Works fine. Linda A. Seb

Hi Histonetters, I have someone here who is having problems with their samples (mouse lung and mammary). It appears that the sample is very brittle when she cuts and in addition, some of the paraffin around the sample in the cassette is very white in color instead of the normal translucent color.
