We have 3 Leica RM2155s, 3 RM2255 and one Microm 355S. We all love the Leica models and some prefer one or the other. I do find I am the only one to use the foot petal or most of the really automated features. The Microm is a good microtome however; only person uses it daily and no one else se

We have a Reichert-Jung 820 manual (old old old) and a fully automated Microm HM 355. Both of us who cut prefer the manual. The manual is more compact, easier to clean, cheaper. The Microm HM 355 is twice as big and the blade holder - adjustment screw set-up is neither convenient or easy to op
