It looks like I will be helping a student get started looking for the
invertebrate iridovirus in honey bees that might be involved in colony
collapse syndrome. Until we get up to speed, and set up a histolab in
my basement, is there someone who will be willing to embed and cut a
couple of normal h
Has anyone had experience embedding and cutting honey bees. I am sure
there are some issues with the harder exoskeleton. Would that have to
be dissected away first. I am considering helping a student with a
science fair project on bees.

I am starting a collaboration with a small start-up company on a very
exciting cancer therapy. They want me to set up a small histo lab and
do some pro bono IHC. I am willing but they need a microtome. I am
looking for a decent working microtome with a disposable blade holder.
Does anyone have one
eliminate O2 but maybe that is not necessary. I would
deparaffinize them after taking them out of the freezer. Any
suggestions. Some antigens won't hold up to long term storage, but I
don't know about Chlamydia. Thanks for any help.
