I'm also a fan of having any fellow employees available ask questions. I
have my staff limit it to histology related subjects, but my thought is if
they are going to be the ones working directly with them, it helps to have
their opinions.

you calculate the formalin fixation times, you need to add the time that it

The best that I have used in the past was humason's animal tissue

1979 edition. After googling it, I see that there may be a full text

Spring it is RUO, so it is up to you to do the appropriate LDT. The
Ventana antibody is an IVD. It is also a pretty pricey antibody from either
vendor.
Let me know if you need any further help.

I used to have one of those anti-static brushes, it had a small radioactive
piece of metal that discharged the static. It worked sometimes. Try
putting moistened gauze, or the kimwipes used to clean your waterbath in
your microtome wax waste tray. That seems to help me.
Good luck.

Yes, we are trying to wrap our heads around this one. 24% drop for the
first IHC stain done on a specimen and 41% for each one following. This
will hit our IHC department hard. Perhaps even will hurt patient care. At
least the 88360 came out unscathed.

I second the statmark pens from stat-lab. They are very solvent resistant,
don't dry out that easy. They are however a little on the pricey side, at
about $5.00 a pen.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could share with me their lab's Hirschsprung's
protocol. We want to do an good job with the number of required
sections/levels, however we want to ensure that it isn't overly onerous on
the histotechnicians.
Thanks,
