Try using plus slides and make the smears very thin. Then it won't matter what
kind of fixative you are using everything will stick.

Does anyone out there in Histoland have a control block for MDM2 for
liposarcoma that they would be willing to share? We don't get very many
liposarcomas so control blocks are a problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Happy Holidays Histonetters, I have a question for you. Do any of you use
ammonia water to soften the blocks before cutting? If so, does this have any
effect on IHC staining? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

nd leaves you with a very cellular specimen for a cell block.
We have valildated it's use with IHC staining using our Ventana Benchmarks and
seem to get consistently excellent staining results on our cell blocks. I
highly recommend it over Carnoys and Saponin. Let me know if you have any
q
ve lots of extra parts for it.
Contact me directly if interested. Thanks.

, how often do
you perform this re-alignment? The majority of our microtomes are older so
more wear and tear and things move out of place more often. Any help or
suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
