to get the wrinkles out of the diaphysis of the mouse tibias I was cutting.

Hello to all,
I am having on ongoing problem with wrinkles in the midshaft marrow area of
sections of whole mouse tibias. Leaving them in the waterbath longer does not
help--water bath temp. is 48 to 49 degrees. I have tried several waxes to
help, and am currently using McCormick Paraplast Plu
We have the Lab Vision 360 from Thermo Fisher and we have really bad problems
with the slides drying out. We put wet paper towels and water boats in, but
after 20 or 30 minutes, the slides have very little liquid on them. I have
gone back a lot to manual staining except for stains that work at
I also use the CryoJane and have problems similar to yours. I get much better
bone sections with it, but they never seem to be perfect like others say they
get. I also have tried many different ways to do it, but there always seems to
be a part that does not completely transfer from the tape
I was just wondering what Paraffin most people think is the best for all around
embedding, including bone samples.
What cuts better, stretches better, etc.
