You can purchase trace gas badges from Mercedes medical. And a few other
places. You just wear them or place them for a short term or long term
exposure limit then package them back up and send them in. They send you the
results. These badges meet CLIA/CAP guidelines.

Both Leica and Statlab (probably many labs) sell fume monitor badges for
both xylene and formaldehyde.
Techs wear badges for work shift and then they are sent to company for
analysis reports.
Monitoring must be done with job/equipment change, new employees, new
processĀ¹, etc.

We are looking into formaldehyde sensors or badges to monitor our exposure to
formaldehyde in our dissection room and our fixed tissue storage room.
