Hi Allison, Trying to think why it washed off, I wondered if the skin went back
into formalin after the acetic acid, or did it go to alcohol, perhaps setting
up an acid alcohol condition that maybe was enough to decolorize it. Tom T

We use Higgins as well. For many years we have set it with nothing more than
regular white vinegar.
