Hi, Laurie. We use the Leica Bond and dispense it into an open vial for use on
that instrument. I suggest you contact the vendor for the IHC stainer you are
using. They should be able to tell you how to optimize the new Ventana Cintec
P16 for use on your existing system.

We are purchasing the antibody only from Roche/Ventana and optimizing it
for use with our detection system (Bond Refine Detection kit) and the
Bond-III stainer. Ask your Ventana person about buying the Ab only.

you can get it from. Since you're using Bond you obviously don't want it in a
dispenser, but you can buy their manual staining kit and just use the antibody
from that.

We dilute the CINtec p16 RTU antibody (Ventana/Roche) "1:10" (15' primary
antibody incubation) and use high pH retrieval (H2) for 10' on the Bond Max.

When we obtained the p16 antibody from mtm Laboratories we used it a dilution
of 1:10 on the Bond Max. I hope that the concentration will not change now that
Ventana is selling it.

The only IVD p16 available in the US is from MTM. However, Roche just bought
MTM so you will have to order it through Ventana.

If you want the IVD form of the antibody you have to go with MTM labs, they
hold the patent. We buy the kit and take out the antibody and use the

My understanding is that you must get p16 from MTM Laboratories. They
have some sort of monopoly right now. I still have some leftover from
Cell Marque and when I run low or the antibody is about to expire I must
also go to MTM.
I currently use the Cell Marque p16 Ready To Use by pretr
MtM Laboratories holds the exclusive rights to p16 now. mtmlabs.com
will get you further information.
