After going back over the archives and re-reading the lag emails I am further

Looks like Whisper is going to have to add some info to his wiki. Thanks for
the info Alfred! =)

This will mean slightly higher network spikes during round restart and when
grenades go off, it should actually give a better user experience as long as
your sv_maxrate is set high enough (so you don't choke packets).

I'm testing this cvar with a 0 value and a -20 renice on two of our
gameservesr. So far, no high CPU spikes.hopefully it holds up. :) Does
this degrade performance at all?

You can try setting the "net_queuesplits" cvar to 0 (or 50) and see if that
improves performance.

Well, i can give you SSH access to my servers, if you want. Contact me by
private email.
There you can join the screens, and follow the fps issue yourself. * If there
is anyone on the server, because because of this problem, its going empty
since days :((

Well I'm willing to give you root and csserver access to my server if that
helps.
It's a clean update from FC3 through FC4 to FC5. :D

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem, if someone can give me ssh access
to a machine (with GDB installed) that immediately on launch reproduces the
problem I may get more traction on the problem :)
