Regarding DIRMAINT, in particular, as well as FTPSERVE and TCPIP, you should not expect much to work in a newly restored VM system. You're going to have to work your way thru the program directories that, I assume, you received. Start with the base CP/CMS directory. For DIRMAINT, the userid'

I would agree with those who have responded so far and that is that DIRMAINT should be out there somewhere. We're running 5.2 here and DIRMAINT is on it.  The only difference I noticed is that we installed from tape.  I think you said you installed from DVD. Steve G.

Regarding FTPSERVE. It is in the directory, otherwise you wouldn't see it logging on and then logging off. You need to look at the messages it puts out when it runs. I believe by default its console goes to TCPMAINT, but you could always just log it on directly (rather than xautologging it)

I still can't get DIRMAINT to run. Before I call IBM, I want to share this info I see that there is a USER DIRECT in MAINT's A disk and I issued DIRECTXA, but still CP can not find DIRMAINT in the directory. The product is enabled. I also noticed that DIRMAINT may be called 5VMDIR10. So

You may not have a complete NJE routing table in place at the intervening or end nodes. Remember that for NJE to work, all nodes have to know about all the possible destinations and the path to get there. I have a file in SFS which is the subject of OPENVM PUT with options REP and OLDD. When I look at the directory using BFSLIST the time stamp is 4 hours ahea d of the timestamp of the file in SFS. Q TIMEZONE gives EDT West 04.00.00 Active. My question is "Is the BFS timestamp in UTC?"
