I know SQL/DS uses a magic number to tell what it should do with pages of
dataspaces that are in storage: The number varies from 1 to 5. SQL/DS
compares its working set with the TARGETWS set at startup. If it is
higher, SQLDS will start telling CP it no longer needs some pages,
depending on t

acceptable, even expected, when there were many users to delete. I

I don't know if this will help. We are not running z/OS under z/VM.
The MIH for all of our DASD is set to two minutes (DASD=02:00). Here is
the JES2 info on the checkpoint. DORMANCY=(120,500) and HOLD=40. We are
running with 6 z/OS lpars in the same JES2 MAS.
