Yes, EXPORT/IMPORT (also available in z/VSE) does not have the performance of BACKUP/RESTORE. It is very close to that of REPRO in performance. VSE VSAM BACKUP/RESTORE was an original VSE optional product to VSAM and never was accepted by the other operating systems. (Nothing ever seems to move TO
