Hi,
This past weekend after an IPL of our z10 to apply RSU 5409 and a VTAM
ptf
I discovered that the reported CPUID in zVM had changed:
CPUID prior to this weedend was : FF01C82620988000
CPUID after IPL was : FF00C82620988000
The difference in the above
To enable DYNAMIC I/O CONFIGURATION on z10 running zvm 5.4
am I correct in doing the following or is something else needed:
1) gen the IOCP with the following ---> IOCP MYIOCP (DYN WRTA0
2) Perform a POR and ipl
3) When z/vm is up SET DYNAMIC ON
Thanks in advance for your help
Jim

Dave,
I also noticed that in your PROFILE TCPIP you need to comment out the

Dave,
At this point what you need to do is follow the System & Installation
instructions which will walk you through the steps to create the sfs files
and directory entries needed. Doing the service & put2prod did not hurt
anything, the reason that you should not have run the put2prod is becaus

Thanks Ron,
I tried the following which accomplished the objective of getting the
vswitch to recognize C000 as the backup:
SET VSWITCH name CONNECT
Thanks again
