Installing System Management API on z/VM 5.4. Testing with the Sample Java Program, SmapiConfigQueryRequest , from manual, SC24-6122-04. I get a: java.lang.RuntimeException: Query failed, return code: 900 reason code: 8 Manual states that a 900-08 is RS_NOT_FOUND "Worker server was not found".

DIRMAINT "WHERETO DATADVH" does not exist

Attempting to bring up DIRMAINT on z/VM 5.4 for the first time and cannot find the "WHERETO DATADVH" file (see below). Do I need to create this file and if so, what is the format? dirm rlddata FPLDSR146E File "WHERETO DATADVH *" does

Is there a method to programmatically change the MODULE NAME in the Stand Alone Program Loader without going through the SAPL Panel? For example, if a mini-disk has two load modules, is there a method to pass a module name and bypass the SAPL Panel altogether? Thanks, Mike Atkison
