GMT Timezone

We are on the US east coast and use EDT/EST for all out VM systems. I have always lived and worked in the same time zone that the systems have had. Are there any "strange things" to watch out for as far as support is concerned if we have system that runs with GMT as the time zone? Thanks.

Silly SES question

Tracing IUCV

We have an old application that makes extensive use of SMSG. We would like to incorporate being able to SMSG to other z/VM systems. The manuals seem to indicate that I have to have a single source directory, shared dasd for spool , PVM etc. We already have PVM installed. Do I need all that stuff
