Yes the OSA does support the Layer 2. It took us some time and effort
but it does work. Are you setting this up so that it allows you the
ability to move
Linux guest from one VM to another while retaining it's IP address?

Correct - the OSA adapters available on the z900 do not support layer
2. You need an OSA Express 2 and at least a z990 or z890 at the
