We haven't isolated the dasd by CU (yet). I'm interested in what the potential for falure is. So far with the MOD-3's we've had no ill side affects. I imagine the risk would be greater with MOD-9's but I've not found any written doc on this issue, as if no one would consider doing it?

We have one CEC. We have four z/os lpars in a single sysplex and 2 Z/VM lpars and one IODF. A few years ago we went to mod9's and mod27's with dynamic paving on the Z/OS controlled by WLM. For the VM dasd we uniquely clip as LX, and can see it from the Z/OS side. Up until now we'
