Most of IBM products utilize the own VM userid for the installation and maintenance procedures and OMEGAMON
is no different. That being said it is an optional component that is used to provide an automated response to
alerts. These commands (permitted that is) are VM commands executed

I am
I am installing zVM omegamon on my 5.4 system. Can anyone tell me why I have
to create a NEW id called 5698A36B to install it, why I can't use MAINT? I am
linking the id to all the MAINT disks
And, yes I will continue to read the manuals, but just hoped someone had some
insight.

gotten to the point of defining the DCSS to the linux guest serving as the
monitor collection agent.
I defined the Linux guest having 512m of memory. I defined the perfout dcss
with ³DEFSEG 21000-210FF SN², which, I think,
I¹m in the process of installing Omegamon XE for z/VM and Linux, and I¹ve
gotten to the point of defining the DCSS to the linux guest serving as the
