sister and talk her through a new installation. I will try a to
install and keep the information first but if that does'nt work than a
new install is in order. Since I am home now, I do'nt have access to

Judith... what's this about having to reset the time and date? Maybe that's a
clue to be remembering the general rule that if you're having HD trouble as
well as clock trouble, to try replacing the battery in the iMac before
considering all sorts of expensive -- and/or troublesome DIY -- stuf

I've got a snowmac and was trying to load 2 of the 256MB modules in it but it
will only take one at a time. It doesn't matter which slot I put the module
in. With just one module, I get along fine no matter which slot it
