usually for under $500, while a motherboard for it can exceed $500,
possibly costing more than an intel mac! If I were you, I would
consider replacing it with another G5 or possibly upgrading to an

I hate to say this, but replacing the motherboard is more than to buy
a new iMac G4. You can get them for like $297-$349, etc. (Under $450
usually). If I were you, buy a new iMac G4 and look for parts from the

Thats strange. A Mass Storage Device should not need an App to mount
it on another platform. Maybe the App has a bug, or does not like
being run with a certain amount of RAM, or with another process in the
