Hello,
I'm sure this topic has been discussed, but I cannot find the thread.
I have the iMac stated below. Will the CRT 'keep' longer if the
brightness is on the lowest, compared to the highest brightness?

Hmm, I had the same problem. I was going to get 2x 512mb to make 1gb,
but then couldnt find good ram, so I put an old 256mb with a working
512mb stick from an old computer to make 768mb.
I think compatible 512mb sticks with the G3 are hard to get =D.

yes they should all be able to read cd's properly - they are reliable!
try holding 'option' down when you boot, and select the disc. Maybe
your disc is corrupt.

Hi iMac listers,
I have a slot load 350 Mhz iMac G3 Indigo, not the original light
blue. All slot loads have VGA out ports except the 350mhz.
Is it possible to put a VGA port in? Because I have looked before, and
there are holes and places to solder a VGA connector on. Is it that
simple?

Don't do it :D I would go for a external drive. I have a iMac G3 Slot
Load, and DVD playback is crappy. VCD's however work fine. I have a
external DVD drive for software etc.

Your mac will run it fine. My iMac G3 350Mhz runs it great.

Hmmm, I have a similar prblm. I have 2x512mb SDRAM PC133. When I try
booting, the iMac G3 slot load makes a (one) loud beep. That means
through the self test that no ram is installed, but I definitely put
ram in. Would it be bad ram?

Hmm, I have tried that previously - it didnt work. Probably because
the System Folder had to be 9.2 to be Classic, and my os9 disc was
