It crashed once, and then I was able to open and use Mail without another
crash tonight.

Yo
Hey there Macfolks,
Tonight I had a crash when I opened Mail app. Hoping it's just a harmless
snafu, and since I can't tell what the various codes mean, I thought I'd
post a bit of the report and the console log here for your perusal and
advice. I'm assuming you'd just need to see the first sec
I just wanted to update this post. I decided to see if I could get an
update for Tech Tool Deluxe, and after I installed that and ran it again,
the things that had "failed" in the previous runs now "pass". (Format
Check, Directory Scan, and Volume Structure). Yippy!

Yeah, I've been backing up stuff in the past few weeks, just in case.
Wow, turning off javascript does make a difference in page loading. Though
it makes a lot of stuff not show up at all. I couldn't find a Develop menu
in Safari Preferences, but I had options to enable or disable under the

Hello All,
It's me again. The gal with the kernel panic a couple of weeks ago. I took
out the bad RAM that I had recently put in the machine, and it helped
stabilize things (no crashes or kernel panics). I ran Applejack as per
Bruce and Dan's instructions. But Tech Tool Deluxe is still showing t
Oh man, thank you guys so much for this info! I'm going to try Applejack
right after I'm finished here.
Dan, you're right, I was trying things that the tech at the local mac
sellers said to do, (she said repair permissions, and reinstall the OS, and
that if that didn't work, I'd need to bring i

Hey there, Mac wizards,
I had my first ever kernel panic. I ran TechTool Deluxe after restarting
the machine, and 3 things came up as a Fail.
My machine specs:
September 2006 iMac
2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Bus speed 667 MHz
4 GB RAM
160 G hard drive
running Snow Leopard, 10.6.8

I've used all 3 USB ports, and they work fine for other devices.
I was finally able to get the iPod recognized by restarting the
computer. (which I had tried before and it hadn't worked). Now I'm
wondering why I keep having a recurrence of this issue, and why it
doesn't have one specific solution.
Recently my ipod touch isn't being recognized by itunes when I plug it
into the usb. I usually charge the ipod on a wall charger, and haven't
needed to sync new music on it in awhile, so I don't know if the issue
could be from itunes itself (one of the updates from the past year?)
or something else
