Start up the machine, select "About This Mac" under the Apple menu,
then select the "More Information" but

Lowendmac.com also keeps tracker of Mac models, as doesv the program
"mactracher". But ifv you simply go into System Information and send
details to this site, pretty much all of us can tell you if it's 2008. I'd
expect a 2.14+ GHz Intel Core 2 duo processor with 2gb RAM inherent and at
least 12

What OS version did it ship with? 2007 ones came with either 10.4.10
or 10.5. The 2008 ones had 10.5.3 or 10.5.4 I think
