quality to be "high"; I can see it fiddling in the first moments of

I hooked the computer up to the cable router by direct wire. Puzzling
result: although general loading of internet pages was faster, video
streaming itself didn't improve much.
Thanks to all for prompt suggestions - it might take me a few days to
do the maintenance that Dan suggests as a first step, and then I'll
let you know the results
