Eric Pugh resolved SOLR-16868. ------------------------------ Assignee: Eric Pugh Resolution: Not A Problem At this point in time, i'm quite happy with the bin/solr command being the entry point to our various Java based CLI tools. The one script that is HDFS specific now also lives in modules/hdfs/bin, so that core Solr doesn't depend on it (unlike in the 9x line) and I love that. So I think this is good. In the future someone may want to totally reimagine the CLI, and that would be the time to reopen this ticket. > Rethink the structure of our CLI tools > -------------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-16868 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-16868 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Task > Components: cli > Affects Versions: 9.2.1 > Reporter: Eric Pugh > Assignee: Eric Pugh > Priority: Minor > > Spinning out of SOLR-6994 we want to rethink the structure of our various CLI > options. Do they all go in bin/solr? Do they all live in the bin/ > directory?
