Job Title: Test Specialist Position Type: Contract - W2 Work Authorization: US Citizen / Green Card / EAD / TN Location: Melville NY Duration: 5+ Months Rate Cap: Open Start Date: 01-Dec-08 Project Details: . Excellent tester required to join a new QA team. . The project will start with a pilot using the JD Edwards AP, AR and GL modules, so it would be helpful to have at least a basic understanding of JD Edwards or other accounting software. . The systems run on an I-Series (AS400) platform. . The customer currently uses Test Bench by Softlanding (http://www.softlanding.com/testbench/index.htm) and Test Drive Green by Original Software (http://www.origsoft.com/Products/Testdrive_green.htm). . Neither tool has been installed and they will consider using another testing package if the need and cost advantage to doing so is shown to them. Skill Requirement: . Must understand test process from end to end (requirements gathering, test scripting, test execution, defect reporting) and test levels/types. . Must have automated test tool experience (Rational, HP/Mercury). . Knowledge of Test Bench by Softlanding and Test Drive Green by Original Software is a plus. . Basic knowledge/experience on I-Series (new name for AS400) and with JD Edwards is a plus. Primary Skill Set: . Test Execution Secondary Skill Sets: . Testing - Tools Comments / Other Skills: .
