You could use Tunnel mode with Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP). You
will have a new IP and ESP header applied to the front of the packet. Only
the original IP payload would be encrypted, and authentication would only be
applied up to the new ESP header. This would not affect your MPLS shim

running a RE with only 512 MB with recent JunOS sounds dangerous to me.
And with even less than that I wouldnt sleep well :)
Have you tested that your config runs fine with 256MB in production? If
it does it _might_ work.
However...i strongly recommend you get additional ram.

I am using M10i router with 512 DRAM on master routing engine and 256
on backup routing engine. Memory on both REs is below 100%. Can there
be any (routing/forwarding/other) issue that could be caused by
unequal DRAM on the two REs?
